Where to sleep in Stockholm: Miss Clara Hotel
July 26, 2017

I have a thing with Sweden. After discovering the Göteborg archipelago in 2016, I just wanted to explore more of this fascinating country. The natural next step was obviously Stockholm: with its concept stores, Swedish design, fika culture and its 30.000 islands.

When looking up hotels online, the Miss Clara immediately caught my eye: first because of its name, then because of the pictures I saw. It was minimalist yet cosy and, most importantly, it looked like it had a soul.

I booked a standard room for 3 nights, and it was perfect. Pretty small but with a very good use of the space and a view on the church right next to the hotel. It’s like a little cocoon of coziness in the middle of the city, raw and sharp at the same time, where you want to spend the evening in your bathrobe, eating pizza from the Italian next door (which I definitely didn’t do. Nope.). Also, they deliver the pizza from the Italian next door right to your room. Just sayin’.

The hotel also has beautifully decorated restaurant – bar downstairs, open to the public and always packed on the weekends! In the morning, the breakfast buffet is served there is pretty much all you can expect from a place like Miss Clara, it’s just perfect.

About the location, it’s actually the best you can have: all the cool neighborhoods are accessible by foot from Miss Clara. Oh and, why Miss Clara? Well simply because this building used to be a school for girls, and its principal was… Miss Clara.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here you go:
