Grandpa

I discovered Grandpa during my 2016 trip to Göteborg, Sweden, and immediately fell in love with the whole concept of this store. Actually Grandpa isn’t really a store, it’s closer to a way of life: the Swedish way of life. You’ll find all the cool swedish brands that you haven’t heard of yet (don’t worry, in a year or two, they’ll be in every store) and all time favorites such as Sandqvist backpacks, Hay small furniture, Happy Socks… socks or Patagonia clothes.

The strength of Grandpa is its ability to surprise. They sell pretty hard to find items, even when it’s a classic brand. They have that flair, that aura of coolness, that little step ahead of the rest of us, simple mortals. Something that I also like about this brand is that it’s super, well, Swedish. They opened their first concept store in 2003 and now run 4 shops in Stockholm and Gothenburg in addition to their e-shop!
